Mike Stevens comments on the #3 weight. I used the 9' #3 weight last season and loved it on small open streams. It has the reach to get over long grass and high banks, but is amazingly delicate. It will cast the leader or 50 feet of line as needed. The matt finish means less fish spooked and it has plenty of backbone should you encounter a decent fish. The line that suits it best is a SA Trout taper in #3 weight.
There are also DXF nymph rods highly suitable for Australian conditions in #2 - #5 and 10' to 11'. We normally stock the #2 and #3, but can easily get all models.
